What does a trolley look like when it’s engineered like a Porsche? This question marked the beginning of a design process that was consistently guided by our standards in vehicle development. The result: the Roadster Aluminum – a travel companion that sets new standards in terms of materials, manufacturing, and design language.

It's clear at first glance that the Roadster Aluminum is no ordinary suitcase. The front and back feature striking indentations, echoing the aerodynamic shape of the Porsche 911. Inspired by the legendary Targa bar, whose characteristic lines served as a model for the frame of the trolley, the design deliberately dispenses with visible rivets or classic corner reinforcements. The wheels also feature iconic design elements – their look pays homage to the Fuchs rims of the Porsche Carrera Classic. T

he result is a flowing, almost sculptural look: minimalist, functional, unmistakably Porsche Design. At the same time, the appearance carries on the legacy of ten years of Roadster hard-shell trolleys – with the aim of constantly redefining what modern luggage can do and be.

Built like a Porsche.

What you see in the trolley’s design, you feel in its engineering: the front and back panels are pressed into their distinctive shape in a two-step forming process. The frame, made from a aluminum profile specially adapted to the requirements, is bent with millimeter precision so that every component fits seamlessly.

The Porsche Design logo is laser-engraved directly onto the beveled edge – no additional plaque required. Each piece is hand-assembled in Italy and checked in multiple stages – a process that mirrors the quality standards of automotive production.

The final assembly – from the ball-bearing Carrera-Classic-inspired 360° wheels to the multi-level telescopic handle – follows the same uncompromising approach.

Performance in detail.

Technical refinement goes hand in hand with everyday usability: thanks to its aluminum shell, the trolleys are exceptionally durable, reliably protecting its contents while remaining surprisingly light to handle. The ball-bearing 360° wheels glide quietly and smoothly, even across uneven ground. Inside, a thoughtfully structured layout with cross straps and a partition panel ensures order without unnecessary gimmicks.

The Roadster Aluminum comes in three sizes: Size S (Cabin) – ideal for business trips and short getaways Size M – designed for week-long journeys and Size L – the perfect partner for extended stays.

The color palette currently features classic aluminum silver, to be joined in 2026 by a deep black version.

Porsche DNA – designed for travel.

The trolley was developed at Studio F. A. Porsche in Zell am See, where form and function have always been inseparable. The designers are united by a clear goal: to create products that convey an attitude beyond their function. The Roadster Aluminum is a prime example of this. With every journey, the trolley gains character – not despite its use, but because of it: over time, a patina develops that tells the story of unforgettable travels together.

Because, as with every Porsche, it's not just about the destination, but also about the journey itself.
