Dogs of different sizes can be transported easily and safely with the inflatable Porsche luggage compartment box. The box has three mounting options on each side, on which it can be fixed securely in the vehicle using the supplied belts.
It is particularly easy and practical to handle, as the luggage compartment box for dogs is not just folding, but is particularly light, but can also be inflated in a matter of seconds.
The air cushions filled with air as a result act like an airbag to prevent impact on the dog. The floor shafts are also damped, which offers maximum comfort during transport.
The luggage compartment box is made of soft components: its innovative drop-stitch material, familiar from the sports sector, is not only particularly comfortable, but also extremely robust. Scratches, bite, dirt and liquids can withstand use reliably. Thanks to the hygienic and water-repellent material properties, the luggage compartment box can be washed completely from inside and out with water.
The openings in the luggage compartment box are made of translucent mesh fabric, which ensures good ventilation. One of the windows is located on the back of the box, providing a clear view of the passenger compartment. The robust zips can be secured so that the dog cannot open them. The luggage compartment box has a handle on the underside, and the window linings provide additional handles.
The supplied loading sill protection can be secured to the pit using carabiners, thereby preventing dirt and scratches on the vehicle.
The luggage compartment box for dogs is also suitable for use outside the vehicle. For example, it can be used as a sleep area for at home or as a familiar place to escape when travelling.

Which Porsche models does the Medium dog box fit in?
The Medium box measures 80 x 82 x 53 cm externally, which suits the boot dimensions of the Cayenne, Macan, Panamera Sport Turismo, and Taycan Sport Turismo / Cross Turismo. It will not fit in the front luggage compartment of a 911, 718, or Taycan saloon, or in the boot of the standard Panamera or Taycan saloon. Always measure your specific vehicle's load area before ordering.
How long does the box take to inflate?
Inflation takes approximately 30 to 60 seconds using the supplied foot pump. Deflation and folding for storage takes a similar amount of time. Because the box is a pressurised drop-stitch structure rather than a rigid frame, no assembly steps are required beyond inflating it and clipping the securing straps in place.
How safe is an inflatable dog box in a collision compared with a rigid metal crate?
The Porsche Luggage Compartment Box for Dogs is designed so that the pressurised air walls act as an airbag layer around your dog, absorbing collision energy and cushioning impacts. This is a different safety philosophy from a rigid metal crate, which relies on the strength of its frame to contain the dog. What is drop-stitch material and why does it matter?
Drop-stitch is a specialist inflatable-fabric construction in which thousands of fine polyester threads connect the top and bottom layers of the panel. When inflated to high pressure, the panels become extremely rigid and dimensionally stable, which is why the same technology is used in premium inflatable stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and inflatable boats. In the context of a dog box, drop-stitch means the walls are firm enough to hold their shape and protect your dog, but soft enough on the outer surface to cushion impacts and avoid scratching your dog or your Porsche's interior.

What size dog will the Medium box accommodate?
The Medium box has internal dimensions of 70 x 77 x 48 cm and a maximum weight rating of 18 kg. Before ordering, measure your dog when standing (from the top of the shoulders to the floor for the required internal height) and when lying down (nose to base of tail for the required internal length), and confirm they will be able to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably inside. What happens if the box gets punctured?
A repair kit is supplied with the box for dealing with minor punctures and small tears in the field. Follow the instructions in the repair kit to apply a patch to the affected area, allow it to cure for the recommended time, and re-inflate. Because the drop-stitch construction includes multiple air chambers, a puncture in one area does not cause the entire box to collapse.
Is a dog blanket or bedding included?
A blanket or mat is not included in the standard delivery. Porsche recommends pairing the box with the Porsche Dog Blanket (SKU 9Y0044893A), which is soft, insulating against the cold, and waterproof, and is designed to fit perfectly inside the Medium box.
How do I store the box when it is not in the car?
Deflate the box using the foot pump's release setting or the release valve on the box, fold it flat along the natural fold lines, and store it in a dry location out of direct sunlight. The deflated box takes up significantly less space than a rigid crate, so it can be stored under a rear seat, on a wardrobe shelf, or in a boot organiser between uses.
