Fridge 917 Salzburg – Porsche x Smeg

A design object with performance aspirations – inspired by the Le Mans victory of the Porsche 917 KG Salzburg in 1970. The complete outer casing features the historic Red Salzburg look: with original stripe graphics and the iconic number 23. A tribute to the racing car that made motorsport history.Limited to 1,970 units, each refrigerator bears a metal plaque with an individual limited edition number – each appliance is unique. The door is thermoformed from a single piece – based on a mould specially developed for this project – and guarantees seamless transitions along the entire surface. The hand-painted Porsche stripe runs across the door and sides. Matte black elements on the handle and a Smeg logo add puristic design accents. The handle design is inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.The interior design also reflects the design language of the exterior: dark accents in the interior profiles ensure visual continuity. With a usable volume of 270 litres, double-sided LED interior lighting, double freshness drawers and a 26-litre static freezer compartment, the refrigerator combines functionality with motorsport-inspired design. A real statement piece.
