Fridge – Porsche x Smeg

A design object that makes a statement – clear in form, precise in function. The iconic Smeg refrigerator has been reinterpreted with characteristic Porsche elements: the handle design is inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and precisely matches the proportions of the refrigerator.The door is thermoformed from a single piece – based on a mould specially developed for this project – and guarantees seamless transitions along the entire surface. The continuous Porsche stripe, which runs across the door and both sides, is applied by hand to each refrigerator – a special detail that makes each one unique. Matt black elements on the handle and a Smeg logo add puristic design accents.The interior design also reflects the design language of the exterior: dark accents in the interior profiles ensure visual continuity. With a usable volume of 270 litres, double-sided LED interior lighting, double freshness compartments and a static 26-litre freezer compartment, the refrigerator combines day-to-day usability with a sense of design. An iconic product – reimagined in the Porsche style.
