General
The frame identification number is located between the chainstays and the main frame on the bottom of the motor.
The frame sizes of the Porsche eBikes are as follows: S = 156-170 cm, M = 168-182 cm, L = 180-194 cm.
The Porsche eBikes are delivered approximately 95% assembled in a transport box. The handlebars are turned in by about 90 degrees and no pedals are mounted. Video about unboxing & assembling the eBike: Unboxing video
The Porsche eBike is not generally authorised for use with a child bike trailer. The use of a child trailer is done at your own risk.
The Porsche eBike Sport is the perfect choice for sporty gravel riding, urban terrain and light forest trails. The Porsche eBike Cross models are also ideally suited for light terrain and trails due to their coarse-stubbly tires.
In order to set up your new Porsche eBike so it is ready to ride and tailored to you, you will need the following tools: a suspension pump, torque wrench including bit inserts, Allen key (4 mm, 5 mm, 8 mm), some grease for the pedal threads.
The Porsche eBikes can reach a speed of 25 km/h with motor support. Above 25 km/h, you pedal with pure muscle power. The EP-801 motor offers two driving profiles: Profile 1 offers three support modes: Eco, Trail and Boost, while Profile 2's Fine Tune mode allows up to 15 support levels to be set individually.
The chassis of the Porsche eBikes can be adjusted to the rider's weight via the air pressure in the suspension fork and suspension.
There are numerous suitable accessories available from specialist bike shops. It is best to get advice from a specialist dealer. Wear parts such as brake pads, chains and cassettes can also be purchased there.

Battery & range
The Porsche eBike can also be ridden when the drive system is switched off. A slight resistance to pedalling, which is caused by the motor transmission, must be taken into account.
The Shimano EP8 is used in the Porsche eBikes. Since model year 2023, the update has been designated with the name Shimano EP801. The drive batteries are also from Shimano. The battery capacities vary depending on the model and are rated as follows: Porsche eBike Sport: 630 Wh (S size: 504 Wh), Porsche eBike Cross: 504 Wh, Porsche eBike Cross Performance/EXC: 630 Wh (S size: 504 wh).
The range depends on many factors. These include the driver's weight, tyre pressure, cadence, support level and elevation profile.

Technology
The weights are as follows (measured in frame size M, including the supplied pedals): eBike Sport: 21.2 kg, eBike Cross 21.7 kg, eBike Cross Performance/EXC: 21 kg.
The frames of the Porsche eBikes are made of carbon. Both the rear end and the main frame are made of the lightweight composite material.
Model year 2021-2024: Suspension fork: The built-in Magura Boltron upside-down air suspension fork offers 100 mm of travel and can be adjusted to the rider's weight via the air pressure. In addition, the fork has an adjustable rebound stage that can be used to set the rebound speed. Damper: The installed Fox Float DPS air damper can also be adjusted to the rider's weight and has a three-stage compression setting in addition to the rebound stage.
Model year 2025: The new Porsche eBike Sport comes with the Fox 34 Performance Elite suspension fork. This offers 120 mm of suspension travel and has adjustable rebound and compression damping.

All of the Porsche eBikes have hydraulic disc brakes from the Magura brand. These are particularly powerful, as the brake discs are optimised for eBikes.
Porsche eBikes from the years 2021-2023 were equipped with Continental tires. Since model year 2024, the Porsche eBikes have been fitted with tires from Schwalbe. These offer a little more grip off-road and prepare the new Porsche eBikes better for off-road use.
The Shimano display SC-EM800 is installed on the Porsche eBike. The control unit on the handlebars for selecting the riding mode is also from Shimano (SW-EM800-L).
