Description
The sports version of the Porsche 911 with water-cooled naturally aspirated engine, which has been produced since 1999, is called the Porsche 911 GT3. Its direct predecessor, the sports version of the 911 with air-cooled naturally aspirated engine, which was produced from 1972 to 1997, was called the Carrera RS. At the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2003, "The Racers Group" team took overall victory with a Porsche 911 GT3, which any racing team can buy in Weissach.
