Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0

As a technology leader, the Porsche 911 Turbo introduced numerous technical innovations to automotive engineering. In doing so, it not only remained true to the idea of performance, but also always met Ferry Porsche's desire for high engine output with low fuel consumption. In 1974, Porsche swam against the tide in the face of the oil crisis with the first series-produced Turbo sports car. The enthusiastic clientele did not doubt it for a second. The driving dynamics of the high-performance sports car, which was technically derived from racing, were too tempting, and it also spoiled them with ample comfort. Initially planned as a prestigious small series, the sales success of the first 911 Turbo came as a real surprise: 2,850 units of the 911 Turbo 3.0 were produced during the first three model years.
