Porsche Classic Enamel Sign - "The Perfect Sporting Partner"
These commemorative Porsche ads come from the 20th-century heyday of the advertising medium. The enamel surface means years of use on your den or garage wall, and a simple wipe of a cloth will restore its luster. They attach through holes in each corner.
With the benefit of hindsight, we know which advertising messages of the past were particularly popular, and we have used this knowledge to produce a series of high-quality enamel signs displaying advertising messages from the early years. The 40x60 40x60-centimeter design weighs approximately 2.5 kilograms and has a convex shape, which makes it particularly stable. With their clear colours and high-gloss UV coating, the signs are not only long-lasting but also look like miniature works of art. These reproductions of advertising messages allow us to reacquaint ourselves with the most popular Porsche advertisements of all time. The world’s leading advertising agencies competed for the chance to dream up these clever slogans, many incorporating puns which still raise a smile today.
In a 1960s advertisement for the Porsche 356 designed by Hanns Lohrer, downhill skis with old-fashioned ski bindings appear alongside a woman’s ski hat in a design typical of the era, lending a touch of historical authenticity. The accompanying text (“the perfect sporting partner”) refers not only to the vehicle’s supreme sportiness, but also to its maximum suitability for everyday life.
