The Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition stays true to the heritage of the original 1972 model designed by Prof. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. Made in Switzerland, the watch inspires those like Orlando Bloom, that share his two great passions: Automotive engineering and timekeeping.

Uncoated and consistently designed with functionality in mind, this timepiece reinterprets the Chronograph 1 in glass bead-blasted titanium. With four new strap variants made from original automotive leather, this model line also grows to a total of five distinct configurations.

On the back, the sapphire crystal case back provides a view of the mechanical movement and the Porsche Design icon winding rotor. The consecutive numbering is also laser-engraved on the titanium base.

Titanium has always embodied the technical DNA of Porsche Design timepieces—durable, lightweight, hypoallergenic, and consistently functional. As a high-tech material proven in Porsche motorsports, titanium finds its way into exclusive Porsche Design watches. The unique combination of lightness, durability, and performance makes this material the perfect fusion of motorsport technology and precision watchmaking.
Titanium carbide represents a new dimension of innovation in materials technology: even lighter than titanium, extremely strong, and highly scratch-resistant. Maximum precision meets technical aesthetics—designed to meet the highest standards on the wrist.

Where does true fandom start? For Orlando, it was back when he was 17 and discovered a pair of second-hand Carrera sun-glasses. His appreciation has since grown into a private Porsche collection. From the ‘black and tan’ 1973 911s he found early in his career and still drives to this day, to his Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition.
The watch that has become his go-to. A creative soul with an eye for design, Orlando Bloom has a deep appreciation for the design language first created by F. A. Porsche.
“As a watch lover, I look at this watch and I just say ‘yes’.”

Based on shared values of authenticity and dedication, this partnership reflects not only a deep understanding of heritage but a well-cultivated passion for expertly manufactured icons: “For me, Porsche Design embodies just that: timeless design and the highest quality.”
